I Love To Feel is a night created and curated by Theadora, dedicated to celebrating and uplifting women and gender minorities of colour in experimental music. Created to address the lack of representation in the scene, this night provides a unique space where their voices are centred and their creativity is embraced.
Multi-disciplinary artist and producer vivian forever joins with electro-acoustic cellist abi asisa to melt together raw acoustic and heavily processed electronic sounds to add to the “scaring the hoes” musical cannon with the intention of moonwalking the line between sensual pull and discordant revulsion.
I Love To Feel Ensemble is the performance extension of I Love To Feel. Formed during an opening improvisation at their sold-out Cafe OTO show in November 2024, the ensemble has since played numerous shows across London at venues such as spanners and 180 house, as well as the Three Wheel Drive festival. This performance will mark their third return to OTO. Their performance practice is built on structured thematic improvisation, where spontaneity and form meet to create sonic landscapes. Deeply interdisciplinary, the group are engaged with local visual arts and literary platforms, including five fold and METAMORPHIKA, often collaborating to create one-off performances. Their sound moves through experimental ambient textures with elements of jazz and neoclassical influence. I Love To Feel Ensemble features afromerm on vocals and live electronics, abi asisa on cello and live looping, and Theadora on piano and synthesisers.
