Unpredictable Series brings together artists from Mexico City and London for an evening of live improvisation, where sound and image are made in the same moment and nothing is fixed in advance.
The first set is a trio: Jesu Piceno (drums, clarinet, electronics), Audrey Riley (cello)and Blanca Regina (electronics, voice, objects) with analogue projections by Ester Ricci. In the second, Piña para la Niña with saxophonist Eli Piña and double bassist Adriana Camacho will continue a dialogue between two generations of Mexico City's free improvisation scene, with visuals by Pierre Bouvier Patron.
Two sets, five musicians, two projectionists. Everything you hear and see will be built in the room and will not happen again.

Piña para la Niña is a free improvisation duo formed by saxophonist Eli Piña and double bassist Adriana Camacho. Since 2021 they have brought two generations of Mexico City's free jazz and free improvisation scene into a dialogue that explores identity, intimacy and the complexities of being human. Their improvisations begin from questions that are both intimate and unsettling; is everything fine at home? Clearly not ‚and move across a full spectrum of experience: tenderness, tension, humour, violence, vulnerability, uncertainty.
The duo has performed at Feria Internacional del Libro de Minerva, Cafe Jazzorca and Sesiones Barbaras, and has collaborated with figures from Mexico's improvisation scene including Jeff Platz, German Bringas and Remi Alvarez. Their music is an ongoing conversation, sometimes delicate and sometimes confrontational, where saxophone and double bass meet without predetermined answers, each performance a new negotiation between two bodies, two generations and two ways of listening.
Spanish interdisciplinary artist, audiovisual designer and educator based in London, working across live performance, projection art, installation, sound and film. For over two decades she has developed spontaneous composition systems in which image, light and sound merge into a single field, drawing on traditions of free improvisation and expanded cinema. Her collaborators include Matt Black of Coldcut, Leafcutter John, Steve Beresford, Peter Cusack, Benedict Taylor, Mandhira de Saram and Laetitia Sadier. She is founder and Director of Unpredictable Series CIC and a member of LAC at Cruce Arte Contemporaneo in Madrid. She holds a PhD cum laude in Audiovisual Performance Art from URJC Madrid, and her work has been supported by Arts Council England, the British Council, Sound & Music and the Francis Chagrin Award.
Cellist, composer, arranger and producer, active in contemporary music since the 1980s. She is the dedicatee of Gavin Bryars' Lauda (con sordino) (2003) and Tre Laude Dolce (2007), and spent ten years as a guest musician with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company (2001 to 2011), performing works by John Cage, Christian Wolff and Bryars. A member of Icebreaker since 1989 and its Musical Director since 2009. She completed a PhD in music performance at De Montfort University in 2021 and is currently working on post-doctoral experiments. Since 2023 she has hosted Chaos? a monthly experimental music night in Kilburn. Recent releases include Open Signal 5-11 on Pente and Gavin Bryars Burroughs on her own label, AR Records.

Mexican drummer, improviser and sound artist working across free improvisation, free jazz, noise, electroacoustic music and audiovisual performance, with a focus on live creation and the construction of sonic spaces. Since 2010 he has explored the drum kit as a tool for spontaneous composition, joining Natural Sounds in 2018 and Los Bien Raros in 2021 before integrating electronics more fully from 2022. In 2023 he began an ongoing audiovisual duo with Ester Ricci, since presented in Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic and Mexico. He recorded his first solo album at AMM Studios in Monteggiori, Italy, in 2024, and in 2026 added the clarinet to his practice, extending his research into extended techniques and timbral exploration.

Italian visual and interdisciplinary artist working with analogue projection, performance and experimental video. Her practice explores the space between image, sound, body and perception, building intimate, atmospheric environments from light, texture, fragmentation and handcrafted materials, and drawing on free association, imperfection and the ephemeral. Her solo audiovisual project Stolen Gems (2024) combines self-shot video, monochrome imagery, field recordings and original sound compositions. Since 2024 she has developed Muerto en Vida with Jesu Piceno, moving deeper into analogue projection while extending her own work into sound through strings, voice and everyday objects. The duo has performed across London and Berlin, including The Horse Hospital, Hoxton Hall, Dublin Castle, Open Ealing and B•Weist, and appeared at Camden Fringe in August 2026 with Unity Arts Collective, University of Kent.
Double bassist, documentary filmmaker and improviser from Mexico City, and an active promoter of free improvisation and free jazz in Mexico and internationally. She has recorded and performed with Anne Waldman, Ana Ruíz, Chefa Alonso, Daniel Carter, Guro Moe, Phillip Greenlief, Germán Bringas and Natalia Pérez Turner, among many others, and has played in improvisation ensembles directed by Kahil El'Zabar, William Parker and Greenlief. Venues and festivals include Suoni per il Popolo (Montreal), Roskilde, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Café OTO and the ICA in London, the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, Kuhlspot in Berlin and Pavilion 2.0 in Venice. She was a resident at 577 Records' Sounds of Freedom in Canale Monterano, Italy, in 2023, and has organised concert series and festivals including Musica Libre, Free Music Thursdays at UNAM and the 13th Musica Radical. Current projects include No tan Cuerdas, Ronronoise, David Contreras Trio, Ana Ruiz y su orquesta Koryma and her solo project Loope.

Improviser, saxophonist, clarinetist and vocalist born in Mexico City in 2000, whose practice centers on free improvisation. She treats the saxophone as both instrument and resonant object, using extended techniques, electronic processing, voice and percussive gesture to investigate the relationship between body, sound and space. She has performed across Mexico, Canada and Europe, including Suoni per il Popolo (Montreal), Pitchfork Music Festival Mexico alongside Mabe Fratti, PRIMI (Copenhagen), PanDymińska (Warsaw), Exploratorium and Sowieso (Berlin), and the Fonoteca Nacional, Casa del Lago and Jazzorca in Mexico City. Her collaborators include Mabe Fratti, Tobias Delius, Concepcion Huerta, Mia Dyberg, Ava Mendoza, Remi Alvarez and Ana Ruiz. She also works as an independent curator and producer within Mexico City's experimental music scene.
