Trembling Bells + Benjamin Wetherill & The Trumpets Of Death

No Longer Available

A great return for Alex Neilsons Trembling Bells, along with Ben Wetherill's haunting psychedelic folk.

Trembling Bells:

Since serving apprenticeships with some uniquely talented songwriters (Bonnie Prince Billy, Jandek, Baby Dee, Alasdair Roberts, Red Krayola, Richard Youngs, Josephine Foster, Current 93, 6 Organs Of Admittance et al) Alex Neilson has formed a new song based group who seek to reanimate the psychic landscapes of Great Britain and relocate them to some vague, mythic land. The Trembling Bells will perform as a four piece with Alex Neilson, Lavinia Blackwall, Ben Reynolds and Simon Shaw.

Benjamin Wetherill & The Trumpets Of Death:

Wetherill’s debut album ‘Laura’, a record of ‘Intricate arrangements…gentle, unnerving stabs of magical, traditional folk’ (Plan B), produced by Jeremy Barnes of Neutral Milk Hotel and A Hawk & A Hacksaw, was released last summer to critical acclaim. This new collaborative project sees him enter more experimental musical orifices. Hot, free sax grinds against darkly sexual synth-keys, spidery electric guitar and throbbing jazz percussion.
