This official closing party for the V22 PRESENTS... Werner Herzog London Film Season will open at Cafe Oto with readings from Herzog's recently published book “Conquest of the Useless", a diary of the time Herzog spent making Fitzcarraldo in the jungles of Peru.

Screening - The Great Ecstasy of Woodcarver Steiner (1973)

Following the film screening, Ken Iwasa (Miso Soup/Final Terror/Chrome Hoof/Thee Univited) will lead an improvised musical rescore of the film late into the night

The Great Ecstasy of Woodcarver Steiner is about ski-jumper and carpenter Walter Steiner. Herzog has called it "one of my most important films."
