The EEL re-launch

No Longer Available

Hackney’s favourite fanzine, The EEL re-launches on April 4th at Café Oto . Now in its fourth year, Issue 11 sees The EEL widen its remit beyond the zine’s traditional Hackney borders with features from across the capital.

Nevertheless The EEL remains true to its roots and this issue will have a special focus on Dalston and the great changes for better or worse taking place in the zone where ‘time itself stands still.’

The launch night features live performances from Jazz swing outfit, The Bon-Ton Roulet whose drummer, legendary reggae producer and EEL catcher Eddie ‘Easy Street’ Williams is featured in the magazine.

Support comes from ex-James trumpeter Loop Ellington alongside the visual mash-up that is The Rucksack Cinema.

The Hackney Choir, formed from The EEL’s very own pages will also be offering up their unique interpretation of Punk classics.
