God Don't Like It presents the debut London show for Stockholm's analogue electronic wizards Roll the Dice. Brining to mind Kosmiche heros like Cluster & Harmonia as well as well as appealing to fans of House & Detroit Techno the duo have been playing for the last few years as part of Fever Ray’s band and have a new album on UK Indie Leaf out on September 12th.
"'In Dust' is an album of real musical weight - a slap in the face to the vapid music that washes over us ceaselessly. It is a thing of deep beauty, dexterously combincing the gravitas of something very old with the excitement of something very new" Dan Snaith (Caribou), Music Week
"When I saw the Swedish duo Roll The Dice perform last fall, it was hard to say what they were doing, but you knew it was live: hunched over a handful of boxes, they coaxed out long, evolving sequences of sparkle and throb, sometimes locking into the strange time signatures you don't much get with laptop techno." Philip Sherburne, Resident Advisor

OLD APPARATUS
"With two ten minute slabs of abstract sound—sometimes beatless, sometimes with percussion fighting its way through the din—slapped on two sides of an LP, the closest analogue that comes to mind is Demdike Stare. Side A opens with prickly breezes that coalesce into a heaving fuzz bassline, nudged along by flitting Autonomic percussion and ugly, corroded kicks. Things eventually settle into a wave of frigid ambience, stalactites dripping as a see-sawing Reese bassline seems to form itself from thin air. Side B rumbles to a start in what sounds like a boiler room, a strangled synth scattering from the path of vicious snares. That brief respite of melody ends with the flick of a light switch, eaten up into the recurring nightmarish atmospheres of the first side and finally coming to a halt as wrecked chords toll a death knell." Andrew Ryce, Resident Advisor
