The Paulo Dias Duarte Big Band is comprised of members from the "Overground Collective” Founded by Paulo at the beginning of 2008. The collective is a group of some of the best musicians and improvisers from across London interested in playing music that is not confined to any genre or style of music.
Tonight the music will be composed by Paulo Dias Duarte and Binker Goldings and embraces a wide range of influences from classical to world music mixed with punkrock and drum&bass, played by a traditional line up of a Jazz Big Band.
Paulo Dias Duarte is an awarded Portuguese Composer living in London since 2003. Between 1993 and 2005 he established a strong reputation in the Portugal with bands Pablibut Sone and Ensemble Raum and his compositions for Theatre, Dance and Cinema.
