Maxine Funke is one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most singular and internationally celebrated artists. Working primarily with voice, guitar, electronics, and field recordings, her practice occupies a liminal space between song, improvisation, and sound art — intimate in scale yet expansive in reach. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Jonnine, Movietone, and Hydroplane, Maxine's music showcases her heartfelt lyrics and haunting melodies.
Her soulful voice and introspective songwriting have earned her comparisons to other notable musicians like Loopsel, Cindy, and Troth. Maxine's discography includes collaborations with Linda Smith, The Shapiros, Delphine Dora, Romance, Lia Kohl, Marlene Ribeiro, Jana Horn, Voice Actor, CS + Kreme, V/Z , Kevin McCormick , Joanne Robertson , Bill Orcutt ,and Martyna Basta.

Clayton Noone is among the most prolific and versatile experimental musicians working in Aotearoa today — and one of the least recognised locally relative to his standing abroad. He has led or co-led a remarkable range of projects across improvised music, post-punk, noise, and avant-garde composition, including The Futurians, CJA, the Strange Girls, Space Wolf 2, Wolfskull and Claypipe, alongside a substantial body of solo work and international collaborations. His recordings circulate widely in specialist experimental and improvised music circles in Europe, North America, and Japan, and he is regularly cited by international peers as a key figure in the Aotearoa experimental tradition.
Noone’s approach is grounded in a restless creative intelligence that resists genre categorisation. Whether performing in duo, ensemble, or solo contexts, he brings an exceptional ear, deep improvisational fluency, and a commitment to exploring the outer edges of form. His international profile has grown organically through decades of dedicated output, released across a range of international labels and distributed through networks that value experimentation over accessibility. A European tour in 2026 would place his work directly before the audiences most equipped to receive it, while opening new collaborations and opportunities for ongoing exchange.
Time is Away is Jack Rollo and Elaine Tierney, two visionary storytellers who map personal, poetic and sometimes playful dérives through the histories of their imagination. The voice is an instrument, a letter from home, the colour of pomegranates. Over the better half of a decade, they have made tender and heartfelt transmissions through countless mixes, sound works, live appearances and radio.
