This show is to celebrate the release of a split album by Grimm Grimm, a London-based acid folk solo project by Koichi Yamanoha (ex. Screaming Tea Party), and Tapers, an experimental electro duo by Gustav Rye and Simon Kinch, released by So I Buried Records. This physical CD will be only 100 ultra limited edition. The drawing of the album cover is painted by Geraldeine Swayne (Faust).
The show will include live performances by Grimm Grimm(Bo Ningen and Le Volume Courbe will be featured for his few songs as guest musicians), Tapers' Gustav Rye's solo and Yuki from Bo Ningen's solo project.
GRIMM GRIMM
Grimm Grimm is the acid-folk solo project of Koichi Yamanoha, a London-based Tokyo native and former 1/3 of cult psychedelic punks Screaming Tea Party. With Yamanoha as the lynch pin, Grimm Grimm features a shifting line-up of collaborators that includes Le Volume Corbe and members of Chrome Hoof, Let's Wrestle and fellow Japanese ex-pats Bo Ningen. Packed with hooks, the Grimm Grimm sound mixes the melancholic beauty and noise of Nico, the soundscapes of Eno and the melodies of The Beatles with baroque flourishes and a passing nod the otherworldly pop sensibility of Joe Meek.
Grimm Grimm are regular performers at Myths Of The Far Future (the east London psych-folk night run by Yamanoha).

TAPERS (Gustav Rye)
Gustav Rye is a musician and researcher based in London. He trained under respected sound engineer Paul 'Groucho' Smykle, and has since gone on to work with artists such as Baaba Maal and Tony Allen. Working primarily with bass guitar and electronics, Gustav is one half of the duo TAPERS alongside composer Simon Kinch. Together, they combine rewired tape machines with a palette of instrumental and synthesised sounds. A track from their first releaseTEXT (Already Dead Tapes) was selected by one of the biggest British independent music websites The 405 as Track of the Week.

5 SECONDS EXPOSURE
Bo Ningen guitarist Yuki Tsujii's solo project, 5 Seconds Exposure, is one of the most beautiful and floating music you can hear in the current music scene in London. His guitar with monochrome melody and sea foam feedback takes the listener on a calm, mystical voyage to a sleepy, forgotten place in time. The performance on the night will be one of his very rare solo appearances.
