Cafe Oto and Feedback Moves present: Lolina & @xcrswx (Crystabel Riley and Seymour Wright) + A.J. Pain + Feedback Moves DJs

No Longer Available

Cafe Oto and Feedback Moves present a new collaboration from Lolina and @xcrswx (Crystabel Riley and Seymour Wright). They will be joined on the night by A.J. Pain and Feedback Moves DJs.

The collaboration began in the months leading up to the pandemic through; witnessing one another’s live performances, sharing airwaves on Lolina’s NTS residency and exchanging ideas over email - which culminated in a collaborative audio-visual stream on Cafe Oto’s website in February 2021. The artists are set to release a split 10” record on Feedback Moves in the latter half of 2022 and this concert will act as a precursor and a space to further explore these shared ideas.

Lolina

Lolina is an electronic and digital musician, also known for her past projects as Inga Copeland. She was a member of the band Hype Williams between 2009 and 2013. Lolina’s releases and live performances evolved through experiments with recording and playback equipment. The improvisational cut up style is exemplified on her releases “Who is experimental music?” (2019) and “Fast Fashion” (Deathbomb Arc, 2021). For "Fast Fashion" title track, Lolina used fashion show soundtracks to re-sample and rearrange into a new composition. She continues with this experiment in her recent mixes and DJ sets, choosing several runway collections from one fashion brand each time.
