Severin Black

Running the experimental label and event series Archaic Vaults, Severin Black has been forming a worldwide community around marginal music since 2020; the most recent collaborations including shows and released material alongside John T. Gast, YL Hooi, oxhy, Ewa Awe, Flora Yin-Wong, Nexcyia, Lisa Lerkenfeldt and Christoph de Babalon. Using the label as an outlet for ongoing projects with violinist Vanessa Bedoret and sound artist Owen Pratt, Severin also has a sizeable discography under the techno alias Nape – the most recent being the album Ten Tonne Angel on Nick Klein’s Psychic Liberation imprint. They have played in spaces such as the ICA (London), KM28 (Berlin), Le Poisson Rouge (New York), Mission To Seafarers (Melbourne) and on a giant pipe organ in a north-east London church.

Burning Pyre

Burning Pyre is a British electronic musician based in Newcastle upon Tyne. His work explores ambient and electronic music modes in a modern context. Centring around a process focussed on melancholy and bittersweet sensibilities, his compositional practice recontextualises isolationist music’s emotional backbone to incorporate an approach to melody and contemporary production methods that reflects the societal impact of advancing technologies and the blurring borders between reality and our virtual lives.

Zeynep Ağcabay

Born and raised in Istanbul, Zeynep Ağcabay's music explores the juxtaposition of Eastern and Western influences on their identity. Growing up with traditional Turkish music playing at home, Zeynep went on to discover new roots in London. Their experimental approach aims to discover a unique blend of these two sonic worlds by composing unusual structures of abstract percussions, ambiguous vocals, ambient soundscapes mixed in with instruments inspired by Turkish ney, kanun, davul and darbuka. Their first release was part of the label Archaic Vaults cassette compilation ‘Continuing a Worn Out Tradition II', released in July 2021.
