John T. Gast presents the UK premiere of Petrols, an intimate and deeply personal live project that foregrounds acoustic textures and improvisational form. Gast feeds these raw sources through a bespoke pedalboard of pitch, loop, and distortion effects, creating dense, evolving sonic structures marked by dread, dissolution, and moments of fragile peace. While the work nods to aspects of Gast’s Gossiwor material, Petrols moves into looser, more exploratory terrain, shaped as much by vulnerability as by sonic weight. Petrols stands as a project attuned to the uncertainties of the current moment – a work of dissolution and rebuilding, where layered sound and presence converge to offer a space of reflection and raw immediacy.

EXLRUTH

EXLRUTH (Ruth Hughes) is an artist and composer whose practice focuses on improvisation, appropriating and re-contextualising traditional form with a focus on live experience of sound.Ruth's practice explores relationships between British industrial histories and contemporary sound cultures, particularly those of her hometown Sunderland in the North East of England, Her performances and audio works use traditional choral compositional techniques as well as field recordings and live hardware processing. Some of her previous works have involved choir performances, experimental Dj sets using field recordings cut onto dub-plates and improvised harp.

Nervio Cosmico

Nervio Cosmico is an electroacoustic experimental duo based in Bristol, formed by Chilean composer Daniel Linker and Italian sound artist Matteo Amadio. Blending acoustic instruments from ancient South American shamanic traditions with live looping, generative sound design, and live electronics, they craft sonic journeys that explore perception, consciousness, and a spiritual connection with nature.
Their recent LP 'Singing Vessels' just arrived on Accidental Meetings.
