“What is happening now?” – a telepathic-telematic ritual led by Ximena Alarcón with Gloria Damjian, Jane Wang and Viv Corringham

No Longer Available

The Sonic Meditations include some of Pauline Oliveros’s first exercises in telepathic improvisation, a technique that she went on to explore using generations of communication technologies in a practice called ‘telematics’ – something almost everyone is now familiar with through platforms such as Zoom and Skype. Ximena Alarcón will guide the audience from telepathic practices to a telematic listening and performance ritual following Pauline Oliveros’ Sonic Meditation “One Word”, joined telematically by Gloria Damjian (Vienna), Jane Wang (Boston), and Viv Corringham (New York).

The connection will be technically supported by the telematic audio production coordinator Mike O'Connor, working with Jacktrip technology.
