Robyn's Rocket is a inclusive conscious space, that aims to welcome as many people as possible. We have lots of tools to help more people feel welcome, like Rocket badges (put your rocket up if you're happy to talk to anyone, down if you don't want to talk to anyone, or sideways if you just want to talk to people you know already).

Robyn Rocket

Robyn Rocket : "Hi I'm Robyn Rocket I play space trumpet which is trumpet through guitar pedals. I am supported by arts Organisation Heart N Soul who believe in the power and talents of people with Learning Disabilities and Autistic people. I love making visual art too and make comics/zines and also enjoy making radio. I have a radio show on resonance fm called Robyn Rocket's Zoom Zoom and podcast series Robyn Rocket Zoom Zoom . I like playing with other people and making it up as we go along , because I think its a really honest way to make music your just responding to each other in the moment , rather then trying to play something perfectly , I am disabled and my disabilities inform my practice, both in the way I play , I have a very short , short term memory so cant really learn tunes by ear , but I can use a loop pedal to be like a extension of my memory But also I can use my creative practice to include more people firstly informed by my own experiences of feeling unwelcome in a space and then trying to change things to address the barriers I faced and then  by actively trying to welcome people in who may not normally feel welcome in a space, and ask for their feedback on how to be more welcoming and try to do the feedback. I now provide access consultancy for promoters, venues and festivals. You can hear my music at https://robynrocket.bandcamp.com/"

Charlotte Keeffe

Keeffe’s debut album ‘Right Here, Right Now’ is where you’ll find her exhibiting a passion for vibrant soundscapes rendered in live spaces. Released in 2021, also on Discus Music, she earned critical acclaim carving out a niche on the imprint. She also composes and performs for a number of the roster’s artists, including; Hi Res Heart, Carla Diratz and Julie Tippetts. She also co-leads Anthropology Band with the head of Discus Music, Martin Archer.

To date, her music has been featured significantly on BBC Radio 3, Jazz FM and BBC Radio 6, where she's been described as a 'prolific', 'dynamic' and 'excellent improviser!', by the likes of Corey Mwamba, Stuart Maconie and Jez Nelson. Keeffe is a Serious Artist and part of Serious’ Take Five 2022 cohort. She performed a duet with the mighty City of London as part of world-renowned trumpeter Dave Douglas' Festival of New Trumpet Music 2022.

Harnessing the power of art for social change is a crucial part of Keeffe’s musical identity: she has served as Assistant Musical Director of the London Gay Big Band, champions gender and diversity equality, as part of the Parliamentary award-winning Women in Jazz Media team, and played in Marin Alsop's Taki Concordia Orchestra at the World Economic Forum 2019, in front of world leaders and celebrities including Sir David Attenborough.

From stepping on Glastonbury and Wilderness stages alongside Charlotte Church, Laura Mvula and Kate Nash, to broadcasting to an international audience live from her bathroom during the pandemic, Keeffe understands that embracing individuality and letting go of inhibitions is the surest way to grasp the transformative power of music.

“Keeffe shows notable strength of character as she runs the sonic and emotional gamut..." - Kevin Le Gendre, JAZZWISE

BLACK DIAMOND

The South London based guitarist, singer and songwriter thrives in dark soundscapes, inspired by the likes of Metallica and Ghost as well as the rich, creative worlds of Tim Burton. Drawing on these references like sonic and visual moodboards, they inspire not only her lyrics and music but style, too. On stage, audiences are pulled into her immersive imagination.

Creating an other-wordly concoction of indie, doom metal, progressive and alternative, Black Diamond was a co-founding member of the dark-ballad band MALZ. Today, she channels her creativity into her solo project—with new music on its way.

Theophilus Oluwafifehami Ajayi

Theophilus Oluwafifehami Ajayi is a London based Pop, Funk, Rock singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist with autism.

Born in Greenwich, London with Nigerian heritage, his love for music started at a very young age. In primary school he started playing guitar and drums, making his first demos; then Theophilus learnt to play the keyboards and became a competent singer-songwriter.
