Pálinka and Tea – Budapest meets London (and a few other places): Ernő Z. Rubik / Dávid Somló / Ernő Hock / Paul May / Julie Kjær / Rachel Musson / Ian Mclachlan / Peter Marsh

No Longer Available

This gig marks the London debut of several players from Budapest's fertile musical underground (as featured in the October 2015 issue of The Wire). Pianist Ernő Zoltán Rubik is a co-founder of the Budapest concert series JazzaJ, devoted to bringing together improvisers from the worlds of jazz, free improv, folk, noise and electronic music. Together with members of his usual band he'll be meeting some players from the London scene whose work ranges across similar territories, in combinations decided on the night.
