Orchestra Elastique - London Live Sessions I album launch

No Longer Available

ORCHESTRA ELASTIQUE

Orchestra Elastique is an international collective that intersects psychedelia, avant classical, drone, ambient, electro-acoustic, minimalistic, krautrock and improvised music.

The band has been prolific in multiplying and testing the possibilities that reside in the performance of live acts and the scoring of films, making visceral sonic landscapes that in old times would have been forbidden and punished by the inquisition.

In this occasion, Elastique will release the first volume of a live albums series, which will be released periodically, to document one night-off concerts. The gig itself will be recorded and available also in future release.

The ongoing motif of OE is to face music as a playground, as a sensorial and enduring physical engaged performance to explore mental spaces of communion through sound.

Hailing from countries such as France, Portugal, Holland, England and Mexico, OE fill this playground with instruments such as harp, accordion, trumpet, harmonium, piano, theremin, drums, percussion, electronics, vocals, cello, double bass, synths, walkie talkies, and many, many more.

The band:

Orchestra Elastique are: Joris Beets (delta harp, percussion and more), Antoine Gilleron (trumpet, vocals and more), Bruno Humberto (synths, harmonium, walkie talkies and more), Nahum Mantra (theremin, electronics, and more), Tristan Shorr (drums, piano and more) and Philippe Lenzini (guitar, toys and more).

Regular collaborators that play with OE, also in this occasion include: Steph Patten (cello), Tom Whitehouse (flute), Gabi Matzeu (Moog), among others.
