Pianist Maya Dunietz performs the piano pieces of the legendary Ethiopian composer Emahoy Tsegue Mariam Guebrou.

In 2013,  Dunietz initiated and directed a unique tribute to Emahoy Tsegue Mariam Guebrou in the framework of the Jerusalem Season of Culture, which included the first ever publication of Guebrou's piano pieces in a music sheet book, and a series of concerts performed by Dunietz and international musicians, ranging from the Ethiopian Church Choir to pop star Ester Rada and Ethiopian diva Hiwot Mekonen, presenting Emahoy's abundance of celebrated compositions, created over 90 years of life (and still counting...).

Dunietz has since performed solo piano concerts of Guebrou's music around Europe, and will bring a taste of her flair and to London this summer.
