LUKE ABBOTT

Gearing up for the release of his second album Wysing Forest, due on 23 June via Border Community, Luke Abbott has recently revealed new album cuts ‘Amphis’ & ‘Free Migration’; it's bubbling synths and quickening pace making for a quietly exhilarating trip. An accompanying live touring schedule has kept Luke and his handcrafted hardware-jams rumbling across the clubs, gigs and festival of Europe throughout the years. Somewhere between the twin poles of Krautrock and techno, Luke’s hypnotic entrancements seem to connect with something deep, intuiting an urge to dance that is seemingly innate.

KAREN GWYER

On releases for No Pain in Pop and Opal Tapes Karen creates digital psychedelia, toying with kosmische repetition, manipulated vocals, drone and expansive electro pop. She's been compared to OPN and Julianna Barwick, and her latest work brings to mind Prurient's recent dabbling in dark techno.

“Gwyer parents a frosty ambience that chills the ear whilst skeletal percussion – influenced by her love of Malian music – ripples like pebble-struck water." DIY (on 'Needs Contimuum')
