FEAR OF A CRAP PLANET: BEST AVAILABLE TECHNOLOGY (LIVE) + DJ JEAN SHIRT (FEAR OF A CRAP PLANET) + DJs LAWSON BENN B2b Jlte (PUBLIC ORDER/NTS)

No Longer Available

The redoubtable Fear Of A Crap Planet alights upon Cafe OTO for a night of hooligan electronics and rubber concrète, featuring turbulent sonic abstractions from a lineup of transatlantic artists.

Best Available Technology

It's a rare thing, but US based Kevin Palmer, AKA Best Available Technology returns to the U.K. to perform some of his experimentally-rooted, uneasy-yet-calming ambient music. He is best known for his exploits on labels Astro:Dynamics, Working Nights and Styles Upon Styles and if the reviews are anything to go by, his set is "a blast to witness live". Expect a barrage of "unpredictable and fascinatingly dissonant abstract electronics".

Jean Shirt

After extended stays between NYC and Mexico D.F, holding residencies from downtown gallery spaces to dockside dives, touring with the likes of Autechre and Farmers Manual, Jean Shirt is back in London to helm the launch of the Fear Of A Crap Planet label - another chapter in a project which was initiated by a series of events in Brighton, while working on early Shirt Trax recordings with Mark Fell for labels such as Or and Raster Noton. Expect the queasy, delirious techno-noise mutations honed on renegade Sheffield pirate stations over two decades ago.

LAWSON BENN B2B JLTE

London-based electronic artist Lawson Benn will be performing alongside Jlte, his co-host on their monthly NTS Radio show, Public Order. Expect diverse experimental sounds and other recordings throughout.
