COUM Flakes (Foxtrot Echo / RoboRay / Jason Williams / YATS)

Foxtrot Echo joined COUM Transmissions in 1971 and was one of the principal members, along with Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti, in the diverse activities of the group and took part in over 15 of its significant Actions.

Hull 17 has been mounting COUM's first retrospective exhibition over the last few months and Foxtrot Echo was glad to participate and contribute.
COUM's central conception was that of an anti-rock group and 3 of its principal members were to evolve ,along with Chris Carter, into ' Throbbing Gristle' - the founders of Industrial music.

In 1973 certain tracks by Foxtrot Echo and RoboRay, as part of the COUM Flakes iniative, were sent to John Peel who played them on his BBC Radio One ' Top Gear' show. At this performance they will be played live for the first time since the 1970's. The second section of the evening's
