At a party in London’s Soho, Solstice December 1985, the idea for A.R. Kane was formed by Alex Ayuli and Rudy Tambala, and so we are celebrating 40 years since the birth of A.R. Kane's brand of Dream Pop.

A.R. Kane drenched the late 1980s with a blissful sound that reshaped indie music, blending pop, dub, jazz, dance, noise guitar and psychedelia into what they named “Dream Pop”, a term that later defined an entire genre. Their sound drifts between beauty and chaos, dance and experimental. Iconoclastic to the core, A.R. Kane challenged social and musical preconceptions, their legacy embedded in shoegaze, trip-hop, post-rock, and beyond.

The current live line-up features Rudy Tambala at the controls and the original Kane clarinetist Steven Benjamin - playing new versions and some new jams, just as far-out as ever.

Guests on the night include Jabu (live), Sean Johnstone (A Love From Outer Space DJ set) and Louis Tambala (DJ set)
