Formed out of two collaborative sessions on three analogue synthesizers, musicians Sofie Birch and Johan Carøe crafted their collaborative album Repair Techniques (2021) as a spontaneous, yet delicate ambient piece. Part recorded in their Copenhagen studio, and finished up in Sweden during a residency at Andersabo, the album incorporates the pair’s shared interests in ambient music, soundtracks, synths, and acoustic instrumentation. Cello, clarinet, and pump organ jostle with synths and drones, creating a vibrant, improvisatory soundscape.
