WOVEN ENTITY

Formed by percussionists Lascelles Lascelle (Brand New Heavies, Beth Orton etc), Patrick Dawes (Groove Armada, Herbaliser etc) and improv drummer Paul May (Duke Garwood, Barkingside, Fourth Page etc) to explore improvised and semi-improvised spiritual grooves that skirt the boundaries of astral jazz, free improv, krautrock and lo-fi electronica. Now expanded to a quartet with the addtion of bassist Peter Marsh, the band operates as a floating collective alongisde various guests including saxophonists Julie Kjaer, Chris Williams (Led Bib), Alan Wilkinson, trumpeter Andy Knight, keyboardist Ben Cowen (Snorkel) and others. An album is expected this autumn.



PIPPO'S PROGRESS

Pippo's Progress are a four-piece originally from Brixton and formed in 2010. Elements of post and prog rock are mixed into a potent brew of interlocking rhythms and melodic cells that's simultaneously cooly minimalist and incisively maximalist.
