OTO PROJECT SPACE // WASTED FIVE YEARS release // JACK HARRIS + SAMUEL RODGERS / SARAH HUGHES + KOSTIS KILYMIS

No Longer Available

Organized Music from Thessaloniki is celebrating its latest release, ‘Wasted Five Years’, from the duo of Samuel Rodgers and Jack Harris. Rodgers and Harris have been close collaborators for a number of years, meshing feedback, amplification, electronics and field recording approaches into their own blend of improvised music. Going to great lengths to welcome the influence of ambient and environmental sounds into their work, this latest recording finds them playing along to the sounds of an empty office complex at Nuneaton, UK. For their performance at OTO Project Space, they will be performing alongside the urban noise of Dalston.

SAMUEL RODGERS

Samuel Rodgers is a musician and sound artist working across improvisation, sound recording, performance and installation. His work is concerned with exploring acoustic phenomena and developing haptic relationships to sounding objects and spaces - sound reproduction and recording being key in the articulation of these spatial relationships. His compositions attempt to isolate phenomena within a nexus of sonic and acoustic activity, drawing attention to complexity both on the micro- and macro-levels.

Samuel has performed across the UK and in Europe. He is a member of the Set Ensemble and co-curates the Consumer Waste record label and Empty Orchestra curatorial project.
