Thanks to 2012 Changing Places funding Cafe Oto & Groundwork UK are delivering a two free to attend, two-hour workshops on green issues related to both presenting and producing music. Both these events will be held in the cafe and led by Julies Bicycle, an organisation that specialise in advising musicians, venues etc on sustainability issues: www.juliesbicycle.com

The Green Event • SUN 23 SEPT '12 • 3.30pm - 5.30pm • FREE

Gigs and festivals are a major part of a musicians careers - but they can also have a major impact on the environment if done the wrong way. From ticketing to travel, venues to suppliers, recycling to water use, merchandise and messaging - the workshop will be a space to discuss and evolve your understanding of how to run a green event - or encourage events you're playing at to do so.

If you would like to attend either of these events please e-mail hamish@cafeoto.co.uk in advance. If you forget to do this don’t worry it should be fine to turn up on the day but it would be good to get an idea of numbers in advance.
