SUNNY DAY SETS FIRE NEW ALBUM LAUNCH PARTY
Sunny Day Sets Fire a 5-headed psychedelic pop beast residing in darkest east London emerges in the spring of 2009 carrying with it it's heavily anticipated debut album Summer Palace. The heady combination of Spector-esque harmonies strobeing melodies and plaintiff vocals routed through the smouldering switchboard of the bands pulsing rhythms is already causing plenty of chatter across the airwaves.... Attracting remixes from the likes of Diplo, CSS and Spankrock that speak for themselves.
SDSF launch Summer Palace at Cafe Oto on Friday 27th February and this marks the start of a string of London dates ahead of hitting the road to take their kaleidoscopic sound to the provinces and across Europe culminating in the festival circuit this summer.
"Almost purely sensual and visual thrills. Drummer Onyee bounds between instruments in a melodious sundance, and the five-piece band erupt around her in a manner their name would suggest. Sunny Day Sets Fire are hammering away like a Pop thunderstorm"

"A wild and volatile flood of gorgeous, exuberant pop, a euphoric and epic clatter of leg-moving indie that has the crowd marionetting to band's beaming smile of majestic hooks and careening melodies"
