Eddie Prevost, revolutionary percussionist with avant-garde legends AMM, presents SUM, his ‘total jazz experiment’ featuring Seymour Wright (alto saxophone) and Ross Lambert electric (guitar), who both emerged from Prevost’s regular improvisation workshop and have established themselves as two of London’s finest improvisers.

Although Prevost’s musical trajectory has taken him away from Jazz into further reaches of experimental music jazz was his first musical love and one he has never abandoned. SUM is a radical re-examination and re-interpretation of the jazz tradition, re-working the sounds and structures of jazz into new shapes, twisting old material into exhilarating new forms, and making the strange familiar and the familiar strange.
