Musical meaning and purpose is a very special matter to and for the listener's state of feeling and mood. What, how and where can one overcome the needs of life? Music expands the social and personal relationship of one's love existence through its nature of sound. Sadness, pain, anger, joy and the will of good and evil are not without the effects of music and the change it can bring about.
- Ornette Coleman

A one-off electric grouping sounding and feeling the overlap between several of London 2014's most enquiring bands.

ALLUM/BARRETT/CHANTLER

Jennifer Allum - violin
Oli Barrett - cello
John Chantler - synthesizer

First time public performance for this new trio.

BILLY STEIGER & DEE SADA

Dee Sada - chord organ
Billy Steiger - violin

Billy Steiger and Dee Sada are multi-instrumentalists with rich and disparate musical histories, who together comprise both halves of Blue On Blue. The pair have also collaborated on a live soundtrack for the Gordon Matta-Clark film 'Splitting' at Manchester's AND festival, and recently composed and recorded a radio play based on the work of William Burroughs with poet, Jazzman John Clarke.

With their Organ / Violin duo, Sada and Steiger marry instrumental folk idioms with intuitive improvisation and lyrical minimalism, gently unfurling an intricate and arcane emotional life from their respective sets of reeds and strings.
