In 1999 percussionist and experimental improviser Eddie Prévost convened a weekly experimental improvisation music workshop in London. Since then there have been close to three hundred participants representing over twenty nationalities from a wide range of musical backgrounds and predilections — from music academies, from jazz to garage bands. All however, have shared a desire to find out more about the magical process of making music whilst embracing an experimental ethos.
The workshop extension programming at Café Oto represents some of the output from this weekly workshop experience. Each month it will draw upon past and (mostly) present participants. It will be taking place on the last Monday every month.
This months programme includes;
1. Sandy Kindness bass clarinet/James O'Sullivan electric guitar/ Arthur Swindells trumpet/Eddie Prévost percussion.
2. John Lely toys and piano/Rodrigo Montoya
3. Sam Rebello flute/ Nicolas Christan electric guitar/ Jenny Allum violin
