The purely physical teeny tapes label presents three live acts on a summer evening.

Static Cleaner Lost Reward

Marking the re-release of Breathing Under Honey (Low Company 2023 / purely physical teeny tapes 2026), Naarm/Melbourne-based diy experimentalist Tarquin Manek brings his gonzo dub-pop project Static Cleaner Lost Reward to life for the first time with a handful of live band shows in EU and UK.

Tarquin Manek has been a major player - and enabler - in the fertile Aus underground, releasing an array of solo music under aliases including LST, Silzedrek and Static Cleaner Lost Reward; co-producing albums by YL Hooi and Carla dal Forno; and playing in cult groups Kallista Kult and F Ingers (the latter alongside dal Forno and CS + Kreme’s Sam Karmel). Releases have come through labels like Blackest Ever Black, Low Company, A Colourful Storm, and Kashual Plastik.

SCLR's Breathing Under Honey inhabits a world of hazy aquatic soundscapes, tape-loop decay, murky rhythm mechanics and ghostly songwriting, crafting disoriented yet strangely melodic songs that feel both corroded and dreamlike.

The Sprigs

The Sprigs is Rory Salter, Ben Murphy & Ben Waggett. Their new album 'For Red Riverbank' is available from Bison Records

'Armed with guitars, pipes, samples and bric-a-brac, it’d be easy for the Sprigs to succumb to a totally romanticised nostalgia for an imagined British folkloric tradition. There’s enough of it going around. Instead, the gang create a ramshackle, ruddy faced blend of introspective hibernation, real-world anxiety and some absolutely knee slapping, joy inducing tunes.'

SQ Mice

Emerging from the Paris experimental and free party scenes, SQ Mice create a unique sound attuned to the movements of body and brain. Programmed rhythms, agile vocals, walls of sound and noise combine to disorient then reassure the unsuspecting listener. Their debut self-titled album was recently released through Protopost/Disques de la Spirale.
