FOAM @ OTO will be a unique evening of experimental sound work by visual artists. Live sets will be accompanied by artwork and visuals conceived by the artists including a surreal video projection by Jimmy Merris and a DJ set from Lumpen Nobleman.

Contributors include Richard Bevan, who has invited a drummer to play a 3-minute drum loop composed from 25 famous rock recordings made by producer Steve Albini. Artist collective Gandt will perform a choral, improvised work. Berlin-based artist Hanna Schwarz and composer Phillip Sollmann will present their first collaborative live performance creating a drone-like sound collage from a collection of spinning tops. The evening will be punctuated with improvised sets from the artist band Squares and Triangles who will finish the evening with a full set of new material. OTO PROJECT SPACE

The OTO Project Space is located just around the corner from Cafe OTO at 1-7 Ashwin Street - E8 3DL.

It was created as a space for artists to develop new work and for OTO Projects to present workshops, talks, film screenings and installations relating to the core programme at Cafe OTO. The building was designed by Assemble - a young, critically acclaimed design practice based in London - and built by a team of more than 30 volunteers.
