Pimmel

No Longer Available

Pimmel was formed in 2008 by Andy Saunders and Lewes Arts Lab to explore the sonic power of massed fuzz organs. Multiple vintage organs with attached distortion pedals are accompanied by Fender Rhodes, Stylophones, bass and Chris Cutler on drums. The music occupies a unique territory somewhere between drone minimalism and cosmic jazz.

Andy Saunders is a founding member of Towering Inferno, whose 1993 album ‘Kaddish’ (Island Records) fused chanting rabbis with heavy-metal guitar, hypnotic systems music, Hungarian poetry and folk songs.

Brian Eno described it as the most frightening record he had ever heard.
