Matt Mottel/Kevin Shea ( Talibam!) with Alan Wilkinson + Dead Days Beyond Help

No Longer Available

Keyboardist Matt Mottel and drummer Kevin Shea are a vital part of New York’s new music scene as the duo Talibam!, variously described as “punk Coltrane”, “agro-improv”and “audio terrorism at its most playful”, and also for their exhaustive collaborations which have included Rhys Chatham, Daniel Carter, Peter Evans, Chris Corsano, Arto Lindsay, Richard Teitelbaum and bands Mostly Other People do the Killing, Aji No Moto, God Speed you Black Emperor and many more. Currently active in the trio Wilkinson/Edwards/Noble London’s own furious saxophonist Alan Wilkinson has been an important part of Britain’s improvising community since the early 80s as part of Hession/Wilkinson/Fell and with Derek Bailey, Spring Heel Jack, Peter Brötzmann and many more. Collectively their first encounter a year ago lit the fuse under a powerful and potent relationship with more gigs and a recording hopefully due for release later in the year.

DDBH is Alex Ward on guitar and vocals and Jem Doulton on drums. Drawing on an immense musical landscape that takes in the Stooges, Zappa, Hank Williams, Free-Jazz and everything inbetween they take song-form and improv to a new beyond.
