LOUP DUO + AQUA DENTATA + SEYMOUR WRIGHT/ROBERTO MOZZACHIODI DUO

No Longer Available

LOUP DUO

New duo from 2 Lyon's activists - closely related to Grrrnd Zero and Gaffer Records. LOUP sounds like the perfect example of this new "made in France" generation in their search for the establishment of an other "experimental" french identity. They then unconsciously shake things and leave the tradition behind... LOUP is a mix between free-jazz, drone and noise, captured in a voluntary, affirmed and exciting flux, which gave them the opportunity to support bands such as Rangda (Chris Corsano, Rick Bishop, Ben Chasny) and The Thing ( Mats Gustafsson's trio) with Otomo Yoshihide; LOUP sounds definitely right !

AQUA DENTATA

Aqua Dentata is a solo project of E. Nuttall, an East London based artist. Working primarily with electronic and acoustic audio devices, Nuttall creates a dense, hypnotic tapestry of drones and textures, employing a refined and considered approach within a DIY framework. A steady stream of acclaimed live performances and sold out releases have prompted comparisons to the likes of Charlamagne Palestine and Nurse with Wound.

ROBERTO MOZZACHIODI

Roberto Mozzachiodi's sound-practice revolves around elements of static, disjuncture, discontinuity and anti-signal and is comprised of feedback loops, experiments with magnetic tape readers, invented instruments and amplified objects and surfaces.

SEYMOUR WRIGHT

“Saxophonist Seymour Wright has emerged as the most important saxophonist of his generation. . . [He] shows a command of the saxophone which in contrast to most ‘non-idiomatic’ playing – cynically translated as ‘make your saxophone sound like anything other than a saxophone’ – has deep roots in a tradition of playing that goes back to Frankie Trumbauer, Coleman Hawkins and Willie Smith.” - Brian Morton
