SEB ROCHFORD

Seb Rochford has worked extensively with Joanna MacGregor and Andy Sheppard and co-leads the band Fulborn Teversham with Pete Wareham and has an improvising duo with Leafcutter John. He also has a solo project called Room of Katinas.

He has drummed for Pete Doherty, with his band Babyshambles, in the early days of the band, and has continued to make guest appearances with them. He drums on the first Babyshambles release, a limited edition single "Babyshambles", released on the High Society label.

Recently Seb has been working with Brian Eno, Corrine Bailey Rae and Herbie Hancock. As well as bands such as: Acoustic Ladyland, Oriole, Menlo Park, Ingrid Laubrock Quintet and also leads Polar Bear, both part of the F-IRE Collective.

PETE WAREHAM

Saxophonist and clarinettist Pete Wareham has run his own bands, & played New York's Blue Note Club & Ronnie Scott's in 1998 and in 2004 supporting Roy Ayres. His band Acoustic Ladyland were originally intended as the name suggests to be an acoustic improv band reinterpreting Hendrix material but have since become a distinctive instrumental group with sound.combining American late 70s No-wave with contemporary garage-punk and Albert Ayler screaming sax. The band includes three other exciting UK jazz musicians Seb Rochford on drums, Tom Herbert on bass (all three also form Polar Bear) and Tom Cawley on electric keys. Their debut album Camouflage topped Jazzwise journalist's best of UK cds in 2004 and 2005's 'Last Chance Disco' was CD of the year in Jazzwise and no. 6 in mojo's jazz chart With Pete Wareham as chief songwriter, Last Chance Disco has caused unparallelled attention in both the jazz and rock press for a jazz-oriented band in recent times. They are one of the few jazz groups to appear on Later... with Jools Holland in May 2005 performing two songs 'Iggy' (which has been CD of the week on XFM) and 'Thing'. A new single 'Nico' was released at the end of November 2005 with their biggest gig to date at University of London Union (ULU) in November 2005 at the London Jazz Festival.

LEAFCUTTER JOHN

“2006 saw the release of my 4th studio album “The Forest and The Sea” which was released on the Berlin based label Staubgold. The album centers on the story of two people lost in the forest and pulls together my love of guitar and voice based writing with more experimental electronic sonic forms. My goal was not to fuse the two styles but to have them co-exist in a meaningful way without diminishing the power of either one.

Since the records release I have had the pleasure of touring with my band (Alice Grant & Leo Chadburn) through the UK, Germany, Poland, Holland, France, etc… The show is unlike any other with the electronically treated slinky (metallic spring toy) being a big hit with the audience. There are often passages of conversation between the band and Audience and improvised songs are born based upon the audience’s suggestions.

In the last few years I have worked with all kinds of people: David Toop, Sebastian Rochford, Sebastien Roux, Kaffe Matthews, Janek Schaefer, Tomoko Takahashi, and Ingrid Laubrock.

I have played many concerts from intimate house parties to the newly refurbished Royal Festival Hall (2007 Meltdown festival) and shared various world stages with the likes of: Matmos, Nick Cave, Keith Fullerton Whitman, Jarvis Cocker, Yo La Tengo, Grace Jones, Beth Orton, Otomo Yoshihide, Aki Onda, Phillip Jeck, Carsten Nicolai, Tujiko Noriko amongst others.”

CIBELLE

Cibelle is a Brazilian artist who doesn't play "Brazilian" music at all. Her first gigs were on the Sao Paulo club scene at the end of the Nineties, and soon afterwards, she was chosen to record smoky lead vocals for the late Serbian producer Suba's 2001 masterpiece Sao Paulo Confessions, which mixed bossa and electronics to powerful effect.

After the release of her acclaimed debut album in 2003, she upped and moved to London, trailing all sorts of musical ideas in her wake. Her ambitious second album, The Shine of Dried Electric Leaves, was released last summer. When she plays in Brazil now, it's as an "international artist".

RUTH GOLLER

Ruth started playing bass in 2000. After studying at Middlesex University, she started playing with various bands in London. Since then she has toured the U.K. and Europe. Currently Ruth is playing regularly with "Acoustic Ladyland", "Big Dave”, "The Final Terror", "Oriole", "Bojan Z Tetraband" and "Normal Gimbel”.
