JALALU-KALVERT NELSON / trumpet
"Jalalu has a big personality. He is full of that Oklahoma red-man, black-man, ghost-dance song and is truly one of the unsung heroes in twentieth - and 21st-century music. For me, the quality and volume of his work is on the same level as Ornette Coleman and Duke Ellington. Jalalu has written a full range of music for dance and theater, and for an endless combination of ensembles, including solo bass, music for 25 tubas, string quartets, full symphony orchestra, voice, percussion and electronics, to name a few. A wonderful trumpet player and improviser, he is continually searching for new sounds through the world of children. Due to the lack of respect in America, he has been living in Europe in order to find some solace while he continues opening new doors to the universe of music." - William Parker

ANGHARAD DAVIES / violin
Angharad Davies is a violinist based in London. She is an active performer in contemporary, improvisation and experimental music both as a soloist and within ensembles. Since making London her base in 2002 she has developed a specific approach to the violin, extending the sound possibilities of the instrument by attaching and applying objects to the strings or by sounding unexpected parts of the instrument's body. She is dedicated to exploring and expanding sound production on the violin.

MARK SANDERS / drums
One of the key figures of European free improvisation, Mark Sanders is one of the most unostentatiously experimental percussionists, never using exactly the same kit twice and always seeking out new sonic possibilities and musical potential. Precise, propulsive and extraordinarily dynamic, his drumming has animated encounters with musicians ranging from Axel Dörner to Wadada Leo Smith, Peter Brötzmann to John Butcher, Matthew Shipp to Otomo Yoshihide.
"ubiquitous, diverse and constantly creative, drummer Mark Sanders always outdoes himself, whether playing with restraint or erupting like a dynamo." Bruce L Gallenter, Downtown Music Gallery. NY
