Inspired by the unpredictable, momentary and quiet solitary beauty of the Pennine moors, Hibernate began releasing music in 2009. ‘Paws for Thought’ is this year’s Hibernate winter compilation featuring exclusive tracks. ISAN

From minimalism to melody and back again, Isan have been navigating the aural Autobahn since a chance meeting brought together Robin Saville and Antony Ryan in 1996. With Robin based in Southend on Sea, England and Antony residing in Denmark, they creatively communicate via email, telephone and postcard.

Their sonic design sits somewhere between the Düsseldorf sounds of Kraftwerk and neu!, the invention of a young Eno and the smart-pop expertise of the Cocteau Twins.



OLAN MILL

Olan Mill is the recording project of UK composer and producer Alex Smalley, who to date has received rapturous acclaim for his work that holds a sublime measure between the realms of modern neo-classical composition and ambience.



JAMES MURRAY

James Murray is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. His unusual instrumental music is minimal, electroacoustic and draws on ambient, electronic and classical traditions. He first found favour with pioneering UK independent em:t records before releasing with labels like Ultimae, Fluid Audio, Lost Tribe Sound and Hibernate.



LE MOORS

Le Moors is the collaborative project of Jeff Stonehouse and Wil Bolton. Their debut EP ‘Multi-Filament’ will be available at the show.
