JEAN-LUC GUIONNET & EDDIE PRÉVOST
Guionnet is a Parisian artist active in many fields (music, visual arts, philosophy and cinema), he has mostly worked in electro-acoustics and free improvisation playing alto & soprano saxophone, church organ, and piano. A quick selection of collaborations: Jerome Noetinger, Mattin, Toshimaru Nakamura, Hubbub, Taku Unami. He studied musique concrete under Iannis Xenakis. Guionnet also produces the Ateliers de Création Radiophoniques ("creative radio workshops") for a national radio. Jean-Luc will also play an organ concert in Stoke Newington's St Mary's the Old, for info check smabpf.blogspot.com

Eddie Prévost plays with immense fire, grace and invention. Founder of the essential AMM, collaborator of the greatest improvisers internationally, since the 60's he has kept a continuous contact with the scene and always manages to invent anew his contribution to "meta-music".

SEYMOUR WRIGHT & SEBASTIAN LEXER
Wright has managed to define a personal vocabulary out of extended reed technique. He's integrated every breath, burred reed vibration, keypad flutter, and hissed microtone into a unique improvisational language. Likewise, Lexer has delved into the strings, sounding board, and mechanical action of the piano to develop a quietly-nuanced approach to the instrument. He's also a computer programmer and adds a system for real-time electronic processing to the session.

"On Blasen, the really wonderful release by the London duo of Lexer and Wright, the interplay between the musicians is stunning, a superb example of great timing linked to exceptional choices and placement of sounds. Several of my favourite releases of 2008 are just damned good examples of excellent improvised music and Blasen is right up there amongst them." - Richard Pinnell, The Watchful Ear

MATT DAVIS & MARK WASTELL
Before relocating to Cornwall Matt Davis curated the seminal series of concerts 'Field' in Chisenhale Dance Space in an attempt to include improvised dance. In recent festivals he has performed with Robin Hayward, Otomo Yoshihide Keith Rowe, Rhodri Davies, and Mark Wastell. Eviscerating the secluded parts of the trumpet he explores noise, silence, texture and abstract sound.

Mark Wastell's relationship with his chosen instrument (being tam tam, electronics, harmonium or here for the first time in three years, cello) is concentrated on revealing its tactile, textural and sonic possibilities. Collaborations include John Zorn, Keith Rowe, Joachim Nordwall, Peter Kowald...
