Concern is the recording project of Portland-based Gordon Ashworth, who in a previous incarnation (as Oscillating Innards) delivered an altogether more brutal take on experimental music before planting his feet firmly in the world of shimmering, layered drones.

His brother, Owen Ashworth, works under the Casiotone for the Painfully Alone banner. Gorden has often worked with his sibling in that project.

Under the Concern moniker, Ashworth "proceeds to completely obliterate the vast majority of what passes for contemporary drone with a colossal shimmer that sounds like Tim Hecker reconfiguring classic Raga structures into something almost unspeakably beautiful. Amazing music" (Boomkat). Full-lengths releases on Digitalis and Peasant Magik have acted to establish Concern as a key figure in the field of contemporary drone explorers.
