Broken20 at Cafe OTO w/ TVO and Production Unit present: Rose & Sandy [live a/v] + Datassette v Tengui [live a/v] + Spatial [live a/v]

No Longer Available

Glasgow-based experimental/electronic imprint Broken20 takes over London's Cafe Oto for an evening of (you guessed it) experimental electronics, amplified and projected, with local friends/collaborators in tow.

Label heads TVO (FKA The Village Orchestra) and Production Unit, long-term contributors to and standard-setters in their hometown's impressive leftfield scene, bring their newly-rebooted Rose & Sandy side-project down ahead of its next outing on Moving Furniture, live-processing an autoharp into alternately dreamy and sinister waves of dense digital fuzz.

Upcoming contributor and Dalston local Datassette joins B20 regular Tengui, soon to drop his second LP for the label, for the evening's second live collaboration, spanning the analogue, the digital, the 'high' and the 'low', on a strictly murky/wonky abstract-ambient tip. Fans of their nascent Misc. imprint will know what to expect.

And we're delighted to be joined by Infrasonics head, Oto regular and longtime ally Spatial, whose generative, opti-sonic Primitives experiment has found a fitting home on Broken20, and whose evolving, experimental sound – spanning synthesis, code, bleeps and bass – will no doubt stretch the rig tonight.

In line with the label's ethos, expect line noise, tape hiss, entropy, hum and buzz – and possibly some beats – set to hallucinatory visuals mined from the depths. Plus extra PA.
