Ashtray Navigations
Legendary psychedelic/noise act based around Phil Todd, hailing from Stoke-on-Trent. Active since 1991, AN have released a huge number of albums, cdrs and tapes on numerous labels including Slitbreeze and American Tapes. They have also collaborated with Alex Neilson, Ben Reynolds, Melanie Delaney, Family Battle Snake and more. James Blackshaw puts it best - "sub-aquatic synth bubble, busted-up cassette-tape hiss and distorted electric guitar hover that sounds like a mythical god banished from the realm of light and trying desperately to clamber his/her way out of a dark bottomless void where time itself stands still." We're very excited to be organising this rare London appearance.

Ben Reynolds
Aside from Ash Nav collaboration work, Glasgow-based Ben is also in Trembling Bells, Motor Ghost and Uncabineted Duo. His solo work has seen releases on Gold Soundz, Beyond Repair, First Person, Foxglove, Digitalis and others. Volcanic Tongue said of album 'Outmospheric Arts Of The Outmosphere': "Brand new one from UK raga/space thinker Ben Reynolds features one of his most inside-out titles to date and pulls together a whole bunch of operating strategies that have been previously kept to extended stand-alone investigations. So here we get the great six string acoustic trance moves crossed with endless cogs of tactile, automatic drone and deep voids of stasis. Parts of the acoustic guitar playing here sound much more barbiturate-heavy than his previous more acid-orientated attack, giving it the feel of a particularly narcoleptic Syd Barrett jam recorded from the building next door during breaks in The Madcap Laughs sessions, while some of the electronics are so warped they could almost be a Japanese tribute to Joe Meek. Either way, this is a great reconciliation of Reynolds' various forms and a great place to start."
