Ali Robertson (Usurper) + Clive Graham & John Wall + Cranyec Ohira & Glove

No Longer Available

Garbled sound poetry and amplified objects from Ali Robertson - one half of Scottish avant/luddite combo Usurper, Gum Takes Tooth's Jussi Brightmore performing as Cranyec Ohira & Glove and a duo outing from electronic composer/performer John Wall and Clive Graham of Morphogenesis.

ALI ROBERTSON

Ali Robertson is one-half of Scottish avant/luddite combo Usurper.

"creating a sound nearly impossible to describe, usurper combines obsessive metallic clunk, destroyed voices, broken horns and dropped marbles (?), into dense fields of activity. working towards an intuitive sound logic all it's own, usurper creates a surreal, comic structure that is unmatched and an energy that will make you laugh as soon as you shake your head in bafflement." -- REL Records

"More reflective is Robertson’s solo effort, in which a vocal melding of consonant and vowel sounds and domestic clatter finds Robertson’s own tinnitus making sense of a fading world, as going deaf for a living sounds oddly poignant." -- The List

CRANYEC OHIRA & GLOVE

Cranyec Ohira & Glove is Jussi Brightmore, an occasional Dylan Nyoukis-collaborator who often goes under the name Milche Grand. More frequently heard providing vocals and electronics to the rhythm and ritual action of Gum Takes Tooth, Cranyec Ohira & Glove finds Jussi Brightmore invoking insular burial mound solo manipulated vocal anthropological re-conceptions and supra-celestial electronic navigation rites.

The hum and blow of resuscitated thousand year long dead and lost bog men and women stir long forgotten burial mounds in hermetic solo vocal anthropological re-conceptions and pre-lingual, supra-celestial navigation teriyaki milk rituals.
