ALEX WARD - clarinet / PAT THOMAS - keyboard electronics and piano/ JOHN COXON - guitar / ROGER TURNER - drums and percussion
The trio of Thomas-Turner-Ward first appeared four years ago and toured in the U.K. it's a very volatile unit, with swathes of lyrical beauty negotiating space against a turbulance that threatens to disrupt any known comfort. With the addition of John Coxon the band fuels the heat, but also underpins its lyricism with more extraordinary fragments and edge. This will be the first time the quartet has played a full concert.
PHIL MINTON- solo voice
Phil Minton sings like no-one else, and no-one in improvisation sings without due consideration of whatever he has first laid down. He is the benchmark, and this is a rare London solo concert.
