Sue Garner has been playing with different groups and solo since the late 70’s. Two solo records To Run More Smoothly and Shadyside, and a duo LP with Rick Brown, Still, were released on Thrill Jockey. Earlier groups Run On and The Shams had multiple releases on Matador. She has worked on various of these and other projects with Doug McCombs, James McNew, JD Foster, Pat Gubler, Cheryl Kingan, Jim Pugliese, Doug Wieselman, Fred Frith, Georgia Hubley, Karen Waltuch, and many other wonderful musicians. Sue has recently been playing in a trio with Ted Reichman and Talice Lee, and has done a couple tours and local gigs with 75 Dollar Bill playing bass and percussion. She also sings and plays in an improvising quartet with Daniel Carter, Che Chen, and Amirtha Kidambi.
