Sound of Yell are a Glasgow based collective performing the compositions and arrangements of Stevie Jones, releasing records on Chemical Underground and most recently, Light The Currents on Berlin based 10” singles club, Infinite Greyscale. Jones is a prolific collaborator, having worked in the last year with Ela Orleans, Sue Tompkins, Aby Vulliamy, Ashley Paul, Bill Wells and The One Ensemble among many others. He plays as a member of the Alasdair Roberts Trio and Arab Strap and has recently written music for the films of Anne Marie Copestake (LUX/BFI LFF) and Paul Fegan (Chicago Film Festival Documentary of the year 2017). Sound of Yell will perform as a trio with visual artist Victoria Morton (Muscles of Joy, Suckle) and Georgina McGeown (Ilk, Issho) on woodwind, percussion, vocals and electronics alongside Jones’ idiosyncratic streel string.
