Sarah Sparkes is a UK based artist and curator exploring vernacular and apocryphal narratives, the visualisation of anomalous phenomena and the borderlands where art and science intersect. Her work, often research led, is multi disciplinary, featuring performance, installation, sculpture, painting and digital media.
She runs the visual arts and creative research project GHost. Her work is held in international collections, including GAMeC (Italy) and The College of Psychic Studies (UK) where she currently has work in the exhibition, ‘The Medium is the Message’. She was a research fellow at ‘The Harry Price Library of Magical Literature’, where she created a public artwork, an archive of Senate House Ghost stories and curated a series of events ‘The GHost-hostings’
She has written about and lectured widely on ghosts and ‘GHost’. She hosts talks for Fortean London at Conway Hall, frequently on a ghostly subject.
