John Gosling (Zos Kia / Psychic TV / Jiz), Isabelle De Jour (Jiz) and Jill Westwood (Fistfuck) unite in a rare live collision of sound, film, image and performance.
Nova Ghost Transmission cuts into their personal archives—film, sound, image and recordings—reassembling decades of transgressive practice into a volatile act of transmission and disruption.
Part séance, part broadcast, the performance invokes William S. Burroughs: language as virus, signal as control, cut-up as rupture. An unstable transmission where breakdown becomes method. In the collapse, something persists: a ghost transmission interrupting the machine.
JOHN GOSLING: A key figure in the UK industrial and experimental underground, Gosling founded Zos Kia, worked closely with Coil, and was a long-time member of Psychic TV. His practice spans tape manipulation, industrial sound, live sampling and electronic music.
ISABELLE DE JOUR: Artist, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, De Jour is a core collaborator in Jiz. Her practice encompasses voice, saxophone, clarinet, keyboards, film, visual art and live improvisation
JILL WESTWOOD: Artist and researcher, Westwood's “life as art” practice emerged from the transgressive performance and industrial underground of the 1980s. A founding member of Fistfuck, her work spans radical performance, film, sound, the body and the archive.
