Lia Mazzari and Sholto Dobie

Lia Mazzari and Sholto Dobie

Lia Mazzari and Sholto Dobie are both artists who work with sound, environment and performance. In their collaborative work they use loose structures and and array of instruments including whips, cello, self-built organs and anything else at hand, to create performances that are at once delicate, physical, playful and absurd.

Lia has performed with Ilan Volkov, Takahiro Kawaguchi, Tarek Atoui and Ashley Paul. Sholto has released music on Cosmovisión registros andinos and OtoRoku and regularly collaborates with Ben Pritchard, he has played with Mark Harwood, Billy Steiger and Ivor Kallin.

They both live in London, where Sholto founded the concert series Muckle Mouth in 2014 and Lia founded Silver Road in 2016, a non-profit arts organisation devoted to site-specific and time-based art practises.
