Katherine Tinker

Pianist Katherine Tinker plays for a wide range of ensembles encompassing classical and contemporary music, performance art and opera. She regularly performs on BBC Radio 3, most recently live on the BBC Proms.

This season she will play at the Helsinki Festival, Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen, Perth International Arts Festival, and for a new production at the Royal Opera House. She will give the world premiere of a major new work by Philip Glass, and in addition will give the UK premiere of works by PRS award winning Philip Dawson, Celeste Oram, and Katharina Wallace. She will also play alongside her friends, 12 Ensemble, at Kings Place.

Katherine performs and records as orchestral pianist alongside orchestras such as the London Contemporary Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Recent releases include orchestral music on the LPO Live label, conducted by Marin Alsop.
