Pianist Georg Graewe and drummer Mark Sanders have been playing together since 1995, when Sanders joined the 1995/96 incarnation of THE GEORG GRAEWE QUINTET (w/ Mats Gustafsson, Sebi Tramontana and Mark Dresser). They have since performed as a duo and in different combinations with Evan Parker, Gail Brand, Paul Dunmall, John Edwards a.o. Together with John Butcher and bassist Wilbert de Joode they are part of the newly reformed FRISQUE CONCORDANCE quartet. A live recording from Slovenia of the GRAEWE / SANDERS duo, entitled Affretando, is newly released on the Confront label and will be available at this evenings concert.
